DRESS CODE
Our dress code is designed to help students move safely and comfortably while allowing instructors to see proper alignment and technique. When in doubt, choose fitted dancewear that allows the instructor to see the dancer’s body and movement.

Dancewear should be clean, comfortable, in good repair, and appropriate for movement. Avoid denim, dresses, skirts, oversized or excessively baggy clothing unless specifically noted below.

Students should bring all dancewear, shoes, and personal belongings in a dance bag labeled with the dancer’s name. Please label shoes and other belongings as well.

Proper shoes are required for most classes. Dance shoes should never be worn outside.

Hair should be securely styled away from the face. Ballet requires a neat bun or twist. Acro requires a neat bun or braids.

Watches, jewelry, and safety pins should not be worn to class.

Students are expected to maintain good personal hygiene. Deodorant is required for students age 10 and older.

Boys age 10 and older must wear a dance belt.

Instructors may occasionally request specific attire or footwear for choreography, technique, or performance preparation.

WHAT TO WEAR TO CLASS
BALLET DRESS CODE
Ballet students are required to wear the leotard color assigned to their ballet level, along with pink tights and pink ballet shoes. Pointe shoes may be required at the appropriate level.

Boys: Black sweatpants or jazz pants, white T-shirt, and black ballet shoes.

Hair: A neat bun or twist is required for all ballet levels. Ponytails and messy buns are not permitted. Ballet skirts are optional.

Levels 4–5: Underwear, sports bras, and regular bra straps must not be visible.
