FACULTY
Deanne Petriccione
Teacher
Deanne’s love for dance began at the age of 5 in a small studio in the Bronx where she began training in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. By the age of 13, Deanne desired to take her Ballet training to a deeper level so she auditioned for and was accepted to The Fiorella LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts (the FAME School) in NYC where she majored in Ballet and minored in Modern.
During her time at P.A., Deanne continued taking class at her home studio while also studying at many well known Manhattan studios including; Broadway Dance Center, Dance Cavise, and Steps on Broadway. Upon moving to Westchester and then Connecticut, Deanne has continued her studies taking classes with several different teachers including Todd Hall, and Mimi Wallace.
As a young dancer, Deanne discovered her true love for teaching and has been teaching for almost 40 years. After working at several studios she realized her lifelong dream of having a studio of her own and opened Brookfield School of Performing Arts in September of 2004.
During the schools 15 years, Deanne had the privilege of working with students of all ages and abilities and creating a real “home away from home” for dancers, staff, and their families. Deanne will always be grateful for BSPA and the many relationships cultivated.
One of the studios most notable accomplishments was the creation of ’Tis the Season, a holiday variety show that gave students of all ages from the greater Danbury area the opportunity to perform while also providing a platform to give back to their community through its charitable performances.
Deanne was the coach of the Brookfield High School Varsity Dance Team from 2005-2019. During her tenure as coach, the team won many SWC and State Championships and entertained crowds at varsity football and basketball games and special performances.
Deanne is excited to be part of the “Spotlight Dance Conservatory” family!
