Amy graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in 1997 with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in physical therapy. She has worked as a physical therapist with neurotypical and neurodivergent children and adults in a variety of settings including both public and residential schools,  inpatient rehabilitation, and private homes. She has experience working with children and adults with a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy, Spina Bifida, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Friedreich’s Ataxia, Autism, Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Cornelia de Lange Syndrome.

Amy became certified to teach Rhythm Works Integrative Dance (RWID) in 2016 and taught RWID at Dance Etc. School for Performing Arts in Newtown, CT from 2016-2024. Amy enjoys teaching and encouraging her students to love dance and movement. Amy is currently employed as a physical therapist for Danbury Public Schools.
