Dance Team Summer Requirements

Updated: Aug 16, 2020

First of all, thank you all so much for auditioning for our 2020-2021 dance team/company/ensemble. With so much up in the air, we really appreciate your support as we are determined to not let Covid-19 get in our way of creating new athletes, technicians, artists and critical thinkers! With that said, safety is our number 1 concern and we will continue to stay informed, but hopeful that our situation will change for the better so that we can dance together in the studio and on stage once again!

Summer requirements for all intensive and collective team members is 10 hours of Dance Etc classes. We are offering a 4 week session staring Tuesday, July 14th. Classes run Tuesday-Thursday and dancers can enroll for month taking class each week, for the "week" taking all available classes for the three days or per class. All of these opportunities have a virtual option at a 30% discount.

We will be offering some additional pop up classes for those needing an hour or two more to fulfill their 10 hour class minimum.

Other online or other studio programs are great, but do not fulfill the requirement. Private lessons do so if you'd rather work privately or semi-privately, please contact us so we can arrange that for you.

Company Members are required to take 10 Dance Etc class offerings AND 20 other hours of class. Recommendations will come to you in your Company Welcome email.

Tap Ensemble members are encouraged to take as much tap as possible, but as with team,10 hours of Dance Etc class time is required - Any style.

Rec team members are encouraged to train over the summer but it is not required.

All team members will need to reserve Aug 10-23 for learning choreography and technique.

POSSIBLE COMPETITION DATES! Some competitions have postponed their events for late summer and early fall. We are looking to take as many numbers as possible to these events (if safe enough to do so). Each competition will provide a studio block of time and restrict the number of dancers, staff members and parents allowed at the venue during our time. The competition will be live streamed so that everyone can enjoy the performances safely at home.

Please pencil in these dates.
